Cider Tours & Tastings

Join us for a tour of our orchard and a guided tasting of a trio of our vintage ciders. We will be open for tours from April through October, but please book ahead as spaces are limited.

Guided Tours

Our guided tour will take you through our museum orchard of over 450 varieties of apple and 50 varieties or pear. We will discuss our orchard practices, growing organically and at altitude, and our approach to minimum intervention, biodiverse orchards. Next we will talk about our cider production techniques for making live, naturally fermented, vintage ciders. We will then taste three bottled vintage ciders and talk about the different flavours and styles of cider that we produce.

When: Tours are scheduled for 2 PM on April 3rd, April 13th, May 1st, May 11th, June 8th, June 12th, July 6th, July 10th, August 3rd, August 14th, September 4th, September 14th. We reserve the right to cancel any tour (and refund) if we do not have enough people to make it viable.

Where: Prospect Orchard, Welsh Mountain Cider SY186JY.

Price: £10.00/person (children free).

Duration: This tour takes approximately 1hr with the first 30 mins spent mostly in the orchard (weather depending!). Please bring stout shoes or wellies and a coat in case it’s wet.

Private Group Tours: Please e-mail to book a private group tour. We can accommodate up to 20 people. We are happy to host private group tastings and orchard tours tailored to meet your requirements.

Camping: No Frills Farm Site Camping - We provide a clean, grassy, level space; water; composting toilets; and a breath taking view of the rugged Welsh mountains. You bring your favorite tent or van. Whether you are seeking a respite from city life, the peace of an evening in the country, or just want to enjoy our cider without the need to drive responsibly, treat yourself to a simple stay at Prospect Orchard.
